In related news, I learned from that month that I had joined the wrong Marine Corps. They had a way better quality of life than we did.

By waiting until the end of the last evening (when folks in joint exercises traditionally trade a few uniform items among their counterparts from the other nation) and once everyone was really, truly and completely pissed, I managed to trade for a complete Dutch Marine Corps uniform then even fit me . I’ve still got it in my closet. Maybe I’ll break it out for Halloween some year.

our military is so underfunded they almost have to eat their uniforms to get by without starving
